Professor
Education: B.Sc. (Biology), M.Sc. (Genetics), Ph.D. (Molecular Biology)
Work area: Responsible for translational non-coding RNA (ncRNA) research projects focused on haematologic malignancies, where improved understanding of ncRNA biology and subsequent development of ncRNA-based diagnostics and prognostics as well as ncRNA-targeted therapeutics can uniquely address areas of significant unmet medical needs.
Area of interest: Uncovering the functions of microRNAs and long ncRNAs in the development and progression of haematologic malignancies with the primary focus on multiple myeloma, Acute myeloid leukemia and diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Discovery and development of innovative, ncRNA-based therapeutics for the treatment of haematologic cancers.
