Education: MSc (mathematics and statistics) and PhD (statistics and computer science)
Work area: Responsible for biostatistics at the Research Laboratory, Department of Haematology. This includes general consultancy within application of medical statistics, analysis of DNA, gene and protein expression analysis obtained from microarray, flow cytometry, SELDI-TOF and qPCR techniques and education of young scientists in training.
Area of interest: Research in the methodology of bioinformatics and -statistics, with special focus on methods for use in experimental oncology. This includes statistical tools in the study of the relations between gene and protein expressions and the mechanisms, diagnosis and prognosis of cancer diseases.
